The Sylvia Plath Forum

Poems inspired by Sylvia Plath

Sylvia Plath

Clear and definite were the days
Of my technicolur dreams
As the sunset flaunted
Its pink flag far across
The darkening water
Then it came
roaring down in heavenly anger
As cold and final as a window blind
"It was you, you did it!"
The secure web of light had left
And only a small unripe moon remained
Like a black shadow creeping up
But it was real.
